There you can add borders to photos, crop and edit video and audio clips, use built-in editing tools like red-eye removal and more. I don't know if that problem has been corrected now but just letting you know my experience since you wanted input. Drag and drop your photos, videos and music into ProShow Golds easy-to-use interface. There are a number of other products not mentioned, some of which are much more expensive than Producer which can do the same things such as German applications such as Wings Platinum or m.Objects, the German product diaShow or Slideshow 8 from Aquasoft, Magix, MediaShow by Cyberlink, etc. So I ditched Proshow and used Vegas Video which ALWAYS rendered everything properly. He was looking for an alternative for Proshow Producer.
I almost missed several deadlines because of the jerky video and stayed up all night without sleeping twice, editing single frames out until the videos were rendered properly. At first they denied the problem existed and after I sent samples of the jerky videos on a DVD, they still did not correct the problem.
I tried unsuccessfully to get Photodex to correct the problem. This happened to many different client videos from different media so it was not caused by a single client's video camera. While handling of stills were fine, both had a bad habit of rendering jerky video. When I was doing slideshows professionally, I used Proshow Gold and Proshow Producer. (A word to the unwary: the differences between the two versions are substantial. Other great apps like ProShow are SmartSHOW 3D (Paid), Olive Video Editor (Free, Open Source), VirtualDub (Free, Open Source) and Wondershare Filmora (Freemium).
PHOTODEX PROSHOW PRODUCER BEST THAN FREE
Canfield does an excellent job of guiding the new user through the basics and many of the advanced features of ProShow Gold and Producer. The best alternative is Kdenlive, which is both free and Open Source. Is there anything else that comes close to these two with 'professional' features without the complications of a vegas video? Photodex ProShow is a very powerful program with a substantial learning curve for anyone trying to get the most out of it. Is PicturesToEXE out of beta yet? Will it ever be? The biggest improvement which I feel a photographer can use Producer over Gold is that producer can read PS files with layers allowing you to place up to 100 layers per slide giving you so much more control over your final product. However, you can access the more powerful features in ProShow Producer by selecting options from the ProShow Producer toolbar.
